Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement & Upgrade Solutions | 24–82.3kWh

Augenergy offers multiple Nissan LEAF battery replacement and upgrade solutions, with assembled battery packs and module kits available. We help match capacity, installation space and vehicle communication requirements to your project. The capacity supplied is determined by the selected product and confirmed order.

Capacity Options

Some solutions use 6S1P or 4S1P modules. These designations describe an individual module, not the complete pack configuration. Refer to the model-specific technical documentation for cell chemistry, pack voltage, charge and discharge currents, cycle life, dimensions and weight. Rated solution energy is not the same as the energy available for use by the vehicle.

Assembled Battery Packs and Module Kits

Assembled battery pack: supplied with modules, mounting brackets and wiring harnesses assembled in an enclosure. The battery management system (BMS) is excluded. Reuse of the vehicle’s existing BMS, the CAN bridge, software adaptation and other accessories must be specified separately in the order.

Module kit: includes the modules, mounting brackets, wiring harnesses and other kit components specified for the selected solution. The main pack enclosure and BMS are excluded. Kit solutions are available for 35.5, 40, 53, 62, 63, 64, 72 and 82.3kWh, subject to the confirmed supply list.

For the 82.3kWh solution, the auxiliary enclosure, interconnecting harnesses and related accessories are specified individually in the order. The confirmed supply list for the selected assembled pack or kit determines what is included.

Installation Space and Vehicle Compatibility

A battery upgrade must account for capacity, enclosure design, mounting points, underbody space and vehicle communication. Please provide the model year, vehicle version, original battery capacity and connector photos so we can confirm a suitable configuration.

• Specified 58kWh solution: assembled using 164Ah cells and designed to retain the original pack structure without increasing pack height.
• 53, 62, 63 and 64kWh solutions: any required height increase and final installation dimensions depend on the selected enclosure and module layout.
• 72kWh solution: the current configuration requires an approximately 20mm height increase, subject to the assembly drawing and checks on the actual vehicle.
• 82.3kWh solution: retains the main pack height and adds an auxiliary pack in the underbody spare-wheel carrier area. The auxiliary enclosure, mounting, connectors and underbody clearance must be checked against the actual vehicle.
• Other capacities: dimensions and installation requirements are confirmed for the relevant vehicle, enclosure and configuration.

Notes:

1. Our upgraded 40kWh Nissan LEAF battery pack has the same dimensions as the original Nissan LEAF battery pack.

2. Our upgraded 53kWh or 64kWh Nissan LEAF battery pack is 2cm taller than the original Nissan LEAF battery pack, with the same width and length.

   These battery modules are compact and offer excellent heat dissipation. As is widely known, the original Nissan LEAF battery pack uses an air-cooled design.

2. The metal mounting brackets used to secure the battery modules are lightweight, making our battery packs lighter than comparable competing products.

   Our 40kWh Nissan LEAF battery pack has a net weight of 272kg.

   Our 53kWh Nissan LEAF battery pack has a net weight of 369kg.

   Our 64kWh Nissan LEAF battery pack has a net weight of 369kg.

3. The wiring harnesses are enclosed in sturdy plastic tubing and are not easily damaged.

   This is very convenient for customers who assemble their own Nissan LEAF battery kits:

   We attach numbered labels to both the battery modules and the wiring harnesses. During assembly, technicians simply insert each harness connector into the correspondingly numbered socket on the battery module.

Assembly and Pre-shipment Checks

Metal brackets secure the modules, with insulation between modules and beneath them. Protective tubing and numbered harness labels help technicians identify connections during assembly and maintenance.

• Check cell or module voltage, internal resistance and supply condition.
• Inspect module mounting, wiring connections, insulation and enclosure sealing workmanship.
• Use tools such as LeafSpy Pro to check vehicle battery data, with vehicle installation and road validation appropriate to the model and delivery requirements.

The validation scope and supplied records are determined by the selected model and confirmed order.

CAN Communication and Range Display

CAN bridge and communication adaptation solutions can be provided to match an upgraded battery to the vehicle. Bridge selection, BMS compatibility, software settings and instrument display functions must be confirmed for the vehicle version and final battery configuration.

Actual driving range varies with usable energy, vehicle condition, driving habits, road conditions, load and ambient temperature. The range shown on the dashboard is a vehicle estimate and is not a fixed driving-range guarantee.

Factory Supply and Supporting Documents

Augenergy is a source manufacturer and can provide factory qualification documents, relevant test records and insurance information for project review. The documents identify the applicable models, validity and specific scope at cell, module or complete-pack level.

The specific configuration for each capacity is determined by the confirmed order supply list.

Warranty and After-sales Support

• 40kWh assembled battery pack: 2 years / 60,000km.
• 53kWh and 64kWh assembled battery packs: 3 years / 80,000km.
• Other capacities and module kits: warranty duration, coverage and service arrangements are specified in the order and warranty documents.

The application of time and mileage limits, coverage and eligibility conditions is governed by the supplied warranty documents. Partner workshops can provide service in some areas; please confirm local coverage before ordering.

Where no partner workshop is available, a local EV workshop can assist with diagnosis. Please retain photos, diagnostic records and expense receipts. For battery-related quality issues covered by the warranty, we will review the diagnostic evidence and agree on the resolution and related costs.

Packaging, Shipping and Lead Time

Packaging is arranged for the assembled pack or module kit being supplied. Net weight, gross shipping weight and package dimensions are confirmed by the final configuration and packing information.

DDP or other shipping arrangements can be assessed for the destination. DDP service may be available in selected areas of the EU, United States and Canada. Availability, delivery scope, customs clearance and tax responsibilities are subject to the specific shipping contract.

Reference production lead times for assembled packs are approximately 7 days for 1 set and 15 days for 2–5 sets. Actual lead time depends on configuration confirmation and the production schedule. Transit time is confirmed separately.
